Current Volunteer Opportunities
Do you want to make a difference in your community and further the ELWAS mission? Here are the opportunities for which we need volunteers. Here are several ways to get started: 1. - Adult Education Chair
- ELWAS hosts adult education classes throughout the year, and we need a coordinator!
- Member Welcome Committee Chair
- Print welcome and renewal letters, call new members and greet members on Membership Meeting night.
- Movie Night Chair
- Work with the Conservation Committee in choosing a movie on environmental inssues, and publicizing this event to ELWAS members and the community.
- Nature Walk Coordinator
- Coordinate Park walks with various Parks Departments and walk leaders. Let's go bird!
- Newsletter Mailing
- Join a mailing party and spend a hour or two helping out the Chapter. Meet other Auduboners without making a long-term commitment.
- Outreach Events Chair
- Lead the ELWAS Community Outreach Program in various venues on the Eastside - Molbaks, Home Depot, Crossroads.
- Office Staff Coordinator
- Schedule volunteers to staff the office and store.
- Volunteer Office Staff
- Staff the ELWAS office and meet and greet the public.
- Website Volunteer
- Learn this easy software and work on the website from home!
- E-Mail List Moderator
- ELWAS has three e-mail lists for intracommunication between its members.
