Board of Directors
Up one levelThe Board of Directors determines the policies and objectives of the Chapter, monitors programs and services, and gives direction to staff, committee chairs, and volunteers. The Board is fiscally accountable to the Chapter, it’s members, and the world at large, and is responsible for effectively managing the Chapter’s resources. In other words, act as wise, fiscally-responsible cheerleaders!
There are certain expectations of all Board members, regardless of position. These expectations constitute an agreement between the Chapter and each Board member.
The overriding expectation of all Board members is that they fully support, and work to implement, the chapter’s mission.
Each Board Member is elected for a two-year term of office, after which time they may run for re-election, run for another position, or step down. Those elected in odd-numbered years are: President, Vice President; two At-Large Members, Birding, Communication, and Education; Those elected in even-numbered years are: Secretary, Treasurer; one At-Large Board Member, Conservation, Financial Development; and Membership.
