Conservation Committee
We do this in several ways:
- We work to preserve natural areas in their natural state. Ranging from cleanups to assisting with purchases to supporting land use regulation, we try to protect the pockets of habitat left in our growing community.
- We work to restore areas that have been degraded. We participate in plantings, removal of invasive plants and other restoration projects.
- We work to influence the decisions, governmental and personal, that impact the available habitat and natural areas in our community. This protects not only the birds we love, but ourselves and our quality of life here on the eastside of Lake Washington and throughout our region, nation, and yes, the earth.
If you feel this would be a worthy use of your time as well, please join us! Look below for some of the ways you can get involved.
