Conservation

Up one level
East Lake Washington Audubon is dedicated to saving wildlife habitat for the benefit of birds and people. Please join us! Look below for some of the ways you can get involved.
What You Can Do
We believe in protecting the birds and our environment by advocating on their behalf with decision makers on the local, state and national levels. We want everyone to get involved in small or big ways. Here are some meaningful things you can do to help us achieve our mission.
Bellefields Park
Easy and fun! Since 1996, ELWAS has been involved with monthly park clean up at Bellefields Park. You can help us carry on this great tradition by joining a work party. Bring gloves and a bag for litter, and your binoculars! Call Kay (425-644-2862) for next work party date and time.
Citizen Science
You can birdwatch and contribute to the collection of valuable information about bird populations. Read more below!
Conservation Committee
The Conservation Committee meets once a month to discuss issues, develop plans of action, help others with issues in their neighborhoods, and develop Chapter-wide policies for Board consideration. All are welcome, and we encourage you to join us. We need your eyes and ears throughout the community.
Conservation Issues
Our Conservation Committee is constantly working on issues important to the birds and environment in our local area, and around the world. Here you'll find information on these issues, and other items of interest to our members.
East Lake Washington Audubon Grant Funds
The East Lake Washington Audubon Board has set up grants for habitat restoration work in our area. Check here for funds available and how you may apply.
