Marianne Wilson-Gumm will bring live animal teachers from Wildlife Encounter, Inc. for adults and kids to learn about and interact with. (early program time - 7:00 p.m.)
SPECIAL PROGRAM TIME: 7:00 P.M. (business meeting at 8:00)
Marianne Wilson-Gumm, Executive Director of Wildlife Encounters, Inc. joins us for a special live animal program in February. Discover how the unique characteristics of animals help them survive in their environment. Learn new ways of looking at the animals around you and seeing their point of view in the game of survival. The program answers questions like, Why do they…..? and How do they do that…..? Be prepared to meet a few of our live animal teachers and find out just how much you really know about their world. This program will be informative for kids and adults alike!
Marianne has been working professionally with wildlife for
20 years. She has a degree in Zoology
and Animal Behavior and loves to do wildlife photography as a hobby. “I enjoy inspiring others to see the world
around them in a new way by pointing out the small details that are often
overlooked in today’s busy world,” she says.
Wildlife Encounters is dedicated to saving wildlife and their habitats through education. Only by teaching children and adults about the animals in our world and showing how each is unique and valuable, can we hope to save them and ourselves for generations to come. Our purpose is to foster a greater awareness of our natural world through education programs and experiences with live animal teachers. Our animals, unable to be released back into their natural habitat due to injuries or other circumstances, have been given a second chance to life to inspire us with the wonder of wildlife.
Please join us Thursday, February 22 and bring
your children of all ages and lots of questions for Marianne. Come at 6:30 for the social hour. Enjoy the program from 7:00 to 7:45, followed
by refreshments and business meeting for the adults – art project with Marianne
and her animals for the kids.
The social hour, meeting, and presentation are free
and open to the public. Invite a
friend or anyone who wants to see these inspiring animals up close.
NOTE: THIS PROGRAM REPLACES THE LIVE REPTILE PROGRAM PREVIOUS SCHEDULED.
