At the foot of the Cascade Mts, this area near North Bend offers opportunity to see warblers, flycatchers, wrens, woodpeckers, swallows, ducks and raptors. The old red alders, second-growth conifers, black cottonwoods, wetlands and lake may harbor some unexpected species. Bring lunch.
