Pacific NW Bird Nest Records

Information for obtaining forms to report active nests of known birds.

Anyone who observes a bird building a nest, eggs in the nest, young hatching and being fed, and then leaving the nest are encouraged to fill out a Nest Record. The most valuable cards feature repeated visits and an evaluation of contents. These records are sent in to the Burke Museum at the University of Washington. If you are willing to submit a bird nesting record you can get a nest record from the ELWAS office (look in the inbox for Hugh Jennings), or email Hugh at "hughbirder@earthlink.net" or call at 425-746-6351.
