Volunteer
We are an all-volunteer organization. No matter your skills or interests, we could use your help! You could organize field trips, lead or co-lead a field trip or nature walk, or help us with the Birding section of this website. To see more specific volunteer opportunites, click the link below.
Bird Photography Group
The photography group is run by Tim Boyer and Ginger Holser. Meetings are on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7-9PM at the Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church. Bring some bird photos to share with others, or just show up and enjoy the company of other photographers. T rips are announced at the meeting and sometimes via the mailing list.

Southworth to Theler Wetlands Field Trip (March 29, 2008) Highlights
It was a cold morning, mid 30's, and the weather forecast was not promising, so it was not surprising that only four people (one car) showed up for this Eastside Audubon field trip. Highlights of the 64 species recorded were Red Crossbills, Brant, Harlequin Ducks, Varied Thrush, Black Turnstones, Sanderlings, Turkey Vulture and one Eurasian Wigeon.

Nisqually NWR Field Trip (April 19, 2008) Highlights
One hour of snow greeted the 4 birders who thought they'd be birding Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge in early spring, April 19th. After the snow, came light rain showers, clouds, optimistic sun breaks, lunch at the headquarters, and finally heavy rain.
Whidbey Island Field Trip (April 9, 2008) Highlights
It was a nice day, with decent weather. The ten birders finished the day having seen 83 species.
Christmas Lake/Rattlesnake Lake Field Trip (April 26, 2008) Highlights
It was a beautiful sunny day, that started out cold at 34 but warmed up to 67 degrees by afternoon. There were seven birders on this Eastside Audubon (ELWAS) field trip that ended up with 42 species.
Scatter Creek Field Trip (May 10, 2008) Highlights
There were 7 birders on this Bird-A-Thon trip. It was a cloudy day with poor lighting conditions, but it did not rain and we ended up with 43 species.
