Congratulate yourself and your team! You did it! And it was probably easier and more fun than you thought, wasn’t it?

Write up a report on your Birdathon. Make it interesting. You don’t need to list every species you saw. Include some humor. Be sure and reiterate at the end how important the funds raised are to the Chapter and an example of what the money will go for. Then ask for the money.

Make it easy for them to respond. Send them a reminder card. You may want to include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

Give them a deadline to encourage a quick response and save yourself some work.

Collect all the donations and turn them in to the office by June 15th. Be sure you include your donor list. We do keep track of our donors. At the end of the year, we send them an accounting of how much they have donated for tax purposes.
